"Speaking from first hand experience, the pageant committee ensures that all contestants are encouraged to be themselves and build valuable life and interpersonal skills while getting to know new people and learning so much! The hard work you and the entire committee does is such important work that has empowered so many young women over the last 20 years, myself included."
Jessie Fewer, Miss Teen TC 2012-2013
"Sabrina and all of your pageant committee should be very proud of yourselves for all the work put into the pageants! It was a real eye opener for me to see how much is involved in the pageant and how much my daughters confidence has changed! Now she can’t wait to go in it again next year! Hats off to you all!
I encourage any young lady who is thinking about entering to do it - you won’t regret it!"

"So glad to be a parent of a Teen contestant that has seen the difference this Pageant can make in self esteem. First year was good but the second year she wasn’t the same shy girl! Her confidence grew so much from this experience. I would recommend this experience to any parent who wants to see their daughters confidence grow, meet new friends and some amazing role models. The committee is extremely helpful and really want to make a difference in the girls lives."

The Miss Teen Trinity-Conception pageant was a totally, amazing, life changing experience for me.
It taught me how to love myself for who I am, built my confidence, and I learned things from this pageant that definitely helped me later on in life as an adult. It was truly an incredible experience. It’s been quite a few years since I competed, but I’ll never forget the life long memories and things I learned.

Wow, what a weekend! My daughter had such an amazing experience in the Junior Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Pageant!
When you think of “Pageant” many of you might think “Beauty Pageant” and all the stigmas that are attached to that label... comparing girls by how pretty they are and whatnot! But I promise you it is nothing like that! This pageant is an uplifting experience for every participant. It teaches the importance of self esteem, confidence, friendship, and community involvement.
This past weekends she has met new friends that she will have for life. Immediately following the pageant today, she announced to me that she absolutely HAS to come back next year because she loved it so much! That says a lot for the overall experience this gives to each participant. She didn’t win a title, be she won so much more!
Thank you to everyone who helped her in anyway with this journey
See ya next year!

As I grew into a young woman, I wasn’t sure of who I wanted to be. I was confused, nervous, maybe even embarrassed. So I followed whatever my friends were doing. Whatever they liked, wore, acted like. I did this for a while and soon realized it wasn’t me. After the realization hit me I was left in a void, I was lonely, scared, and unsure of what my future would look like. Luckily I made some new friends who helped me, but it wasn’t enough. Then I was introduced to TC pageants. On my first day as a junior on the car ride to orientation I told myself, “be as outgoing and extroverted as you can, everyone will want to be your friend.” Luckily I was right. I met so many lovely girls and felt genuinely happy and excited for the weekend ahead. Throughout that weekend I realized you don’t need to be the loudest, or the most outgoing. You just need to be yourself, and the amazing contestants and comity members taught me that. The next year I came back, so happy to see my friends and compete again, and then of course the year after that. I could never be more thankful for these experiences, they taught me it’s okay to mess up, it’s okay to be a little weirder then everyone else, it’s okay to be funny and outgoing, but most importantly it’s okay to be yourself. If I could give every girl one piece of advance, whither your bubbly or quiet, girly or not, or your just curious about what it may be like, join a pageant.

This Pageant has genuinely changed my life in ways I never expected. When I entered my very first competition, I didn’t place, but I was honoured to receive People’s Choice. At the time, I was coming out of one of the hardest years of my life, a year that took a real toll on my confidence and mental health. Even though I didn’t place that first year, the support I felt from the community and the experience itself meant everything to me. It reminded me that people believed in me even when I was struggling to believe in myself.
By the next year, I had grown so much as a person, and earning 1st Runner Up was an incredible moment. But truthfully, the real impact of pageants has always gone much deeper than placements or titles.
Pageants helped me rebuild myself from the inside out. They pushed me to find my voice, strengthen my confidence, and rediscover the parts of myself I thought I had lost. The interviews, the mentorship, and the constant encouragement showed me what I’m capable of. They helped me heal, gave me purpose, and reminded me that I am stronger than anything I’ve gone through.
And beyond all of that, pageants gave me something irreplaceable: lifelong friendships. The girls I met became a family, people who understood me, supported me, and lifted me up during every high and low. We cheered for each other, shared our nerves and excitement, and created memories I’ll carry with me forever.
Pageants didn’t just improve my mental health; they helped me grow into a more confident, grounded, and resilient version of myself. They showed me what happens when you don’t give up on yourself, and for that, I’ll always be grateful

For many people, the word "pageant" brings with it some negative connotations. In fact, this pageant was quite the opposite. It was about celebrating young women - their achievements, their accomplishments, and their diversities. It was about building them up - their confidence, their self-esteem, their self-worth. It was about fostering life skills, building meaningful relationships, and teaching life lessons. It was about supporting - not resenting - the competition, and cheering LOUDLY for their successes. It was beautiful, and meaningful, and life-changing...especially for my girl
To Sabrina and the committee: THANK YOU for your unrelentingly efforts to break the stigma; for all the work you put into building these young ladies up year after year. I could never express what it has done for my heart and soul to see my girl so smiley, social and HAPPY; so BRAVE. Thank you for helping her realize her worth. We are eternally grateful.

My daughter was a contestant in the Junior Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Pageant last year. When she first asked to do the Pageant I was hesitant. What I thought pageants were and what she actually experienced over this past weekend are two very different things.
This weekend was about empowering girls age 10 to 13. They learned about leadership, interview skills, woman in trades, they even attended a presentation on Stand For Hannah.
She had a great time and made so many new friendships.
Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible for all of the girls. Thank you to the Miss Teen Trinity Conception contestants for making all the girls feel so loved this past weekend you truly all are like sisters.

Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment! 20 years ago I participated in my first ever pageant, Miss Teen Trinity Conception. This opportunity gave me the new experience of meeting inspirational young women and reaching a new level of personal growth. I joined to challenge myself and most of all, to make new friends. Many of those young women are still my friends 20 years later. It was also a grand personal accomplishment to earn the Miss Teen Friendship award. That mattered most to me.
Because of my exposure in the MTTC pageant, I was invited to participate in MTA (Miss Teen Achievement) where I met so many more beautiful young women and earned scholarship money through the Miss Teen Fitness, Miss Teen Friendliest and 1st Runner Up awards.
Thank you for your dedication and effort into the MTTC pageant and I hope y'all have another great year!

I just want to thank you personally for all your hard work and dedication to young women in this area. The MTTC pageant is just one example of opportunities they have that they would not have if it wasn't for you. You are a true role model and inspiration to young ladies everywhere and I commend you from the bottom of my heart..You devote so much time to them and still manage to be a fantastic Mom to your two boys. My daughter has had you as an inspiration since she was 12 and respects you and what you do so much. I hope you continue to do what you do and offer whatever support I can to help you. You are one of the nicest most genuine women i have ever met and i am proud to have you as a role model for my daughter.

Sabrina (Pageant mom) & the committee you are wonderful caring compassionate people and I’m so thankful each and every time my daughter enters the Pageant for the amazing experience. I'm so happy for how you are helping to shape and mold her into the beautiful and confident lady we all see today. She was so shy her first year and she has grown so much. Today, her love of pageants always shines through. Itt brings out the best in her for sure. So grateful for these experiences!
I would recommend this to any young lady.

TC Pageants is one of the greatest opportunities I’ve ever had! I’m so grateful to have completed the Junior pageants! The organization and committee has given me and so many other girls many opportunities and lifelong friends! So very excited for next year and I can’t wait to come back for Miss Teen TC.

Participating in Miss Teen Trinity Conception (Miss Teen TC) was an experience that significantly impacted me, both personally and emotionally. At first, I was hesitant to join, unsure if I could live up to the expectations or if I even had the confidence to put myself out there. However, as the competition progressed, I found myself growing in ways I hadn’t anticipated. The challenges, interactions with other contestants, and the opportunity to express myself helped build my self-assurance. Winning the talent award for singing was an incredibly validating moment; it gave me a sense of accomplishment and pride in my abilities, especially in an area I’ve always been passionate about. It reinforced the importance of stepping outside of your comfort zone and embracing opportunities that seem daunting at first, because they can lead to personal growth and unforgettable memories.
