What Are The Benefits of Entering?
Our organization focuses on girls aged 10-14 and 14-18 in NL/Trinity-Conception. Our contestants come together for a weekend of confidence building, seminars, public speaking, interview skills, and charity fundraisers just to name a few things.
We reward and offer these young ladies the chance to be themselves, make new friendships, and gain memories and skills. It's a weekend of empowerment and showing these girls they can make a difference, not only individually but together as well. They make lifelong friendships and we stand together with them as they learn and grow into amazing women.
We give girls a chance to express themselves, gain confidence and learn to be happy with who they are and are becoming! We are all about helping young ladies grow to become tomorrows leaders!

Is This A Beauty Pageant?
No we are not a Beauty Pageant. We focus on giving each of our contestants a weekend where they can build skills and learn things that will help them in the future. Over the years our contestants have learned about sign language, communication with others, bicycle and road safety, internet safety, and have met with Safety NL and the RCMP just to name a few. They have had seminars from women in trades teaching them about other avenues of work for women in trades and each year they have seminars to help build confidence and work on public speaking.
We partner with organizations like the Shriners Childrens Hopsital and the STAND for Hannah organization giving our contestants the avenues to learn what it is like to give back, to learn about what it takes to stand up and be role models and to show that each and every one of them, even as a single individual they can make a difference and then showing them how taking that individual effort and becoming a group can make so much more of a difference.
We offer awards for public speaking, charity and fundraising, leadership, friendship, fitness and talent.

What Happens If I win?
If chosen as the winner, the pageant committee will work with you to make appearances and attend events and festivals during your reign. You may have the chance to be on TV, work with charities, attend events, ride in parades and become a role model for the youth of the province.
Each titleholder's reign is different and as individual as they are.
Once you win, you will meet with your co-ordinator, sign your contract and learn all about what being a titleholder is and encompasses. Then your appearances will start and you will begin a journey of a lifetime as our newest titleholder!
?
I Hold Another Title - Can I Still Enter?
If you currently hold a local, town, or community title in NL you are still eligible to compete and represent your town or community at the Pageant.
If you currently hold a Provincial or National title (or equivalent) from any pageant system you are not eligible to compete until after you have relinquished that title. If you held a Provincial or National title in the last year, you must provide written confirmation that your reign is over or show proof of relinquishment before you will be allowed to compete. Confirmation must be from an official of the organization associated with that title.

People's Choice Voting
The Junior people's choice winner is determined by online votes of people in Newfoundland & Labrador.
Voting will go online via our facebook during the pageant weekend. It will be announced live on the Junior Miss NL Facebook page when it opens. It is only open to residents of NL. It is one vote per person. It is open for 24 hours only.
Please note: Multiple votes by the same person will void all of that persons votes, ip addresses outside the province will void the votes and attempts to repeat vote will void votes as well.
Sometimes when it goes online a lot of people try to get on quickly and all at once to vote. If the page gets too busy it will have an error - if this happens just reload the page. People have 24 hours to vote and it is only one vote per person so if it does happen just wait a little while and then reload the page. The pageant will not be returning messages, emails, etc about the voting during the pageant.
